After meandering through a multitude of genres and touring bands, the members of The Pulpit Ramblers came together in 2013 to discover their own intrepid sound and soul, and released their first album in August of 2014. Stemming from Alt Country and Psychobilly roots, the band pays homage to their heritage while nurturing a distinct Southern Rock feel.
Band members Ryan Hall (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Noah Garcia (rhythm, fills and harmony vocals), Brian Smith (percussion), Patrick Turner (bass) and Joseph Givens (lead guitar), list their widely varied influences to include Tom Waits, Turbonegro, Dropkick Murphy's, Guy Clark, Hank Snow, I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch in the House, and The Rolling Stones. The incredible span of their artistic influences is clear in their burgeoning body of work, and Hall's penchant for dark and twisted death ballads is equal parts a nod to Hell's Half Acre, where his musicianship was born, and a glimpse inside the darker workings of his artistic mind.
The Pulpit Ramblers debut album featured guest artists in the caliber of Lloyd Maines, Rich Brotherton, and Brook Wallace. Their sophomore effort is underway and expected for release in the early half of 2023.
